My Story

Hey there — I’m Willie Raston, a group personal trainer who brings the workout to you. Whether you’re a busy parent, an active kid, or someone just looking to move better and feel stronger, I’ve built a training style that fits into your life — not the other way around.

Alongside my team, we run group training sessions for all ages and fitness levels — and we bring the energy, support, and structure to help you move well, stay consistent, and actually enjoy the process.

👟 Where I Come From
I grew up in a small town in New Zealand called Levin, where my sporting career started as a young kid. In a small town, there were a lot of sporting heroes I looked up to — people who inspired me early on and helped shape the path I’m on today.

None more than my own family. My parents, Uncle Daz, Aunty Adora, and my Koro and Nan all played a massive role in helping create the man I am now. Their support, belief, and influence kept me grounded and focused — and I carry that with me in everything I do, especially when I coach others.

At 16, I moved to Canberra by myself, chasing my dream of playing professional rugby league. It wasn’t easy — being away from home, starting fresh — but I stayed determined. That same drive is something I’m passionate about passing on.

🏃‍♂️ What Training Looks Like
We keep it simple:
- Functional movements
- Bodyweight and resistance training
- Conditioning that actually feels good
- All backed by energy, good vibes, and music that gets you moving

You don’t need a gym. We train in parks, driveways, garages — wherever you are. Whether it’s small group sessions or family-style training, we make sure everyone feels included, supported, and challenged.

⛳️ A Bit About Me
I’m 41, Māori, and a big believer in living what I coach. I’ve played NRL for the Canberra Raiders, represented my country in both rugby league and softball at a junior level, and even trialed for the Atlanta Braves baseball team. I’ve also had the honour of representing my culture, playing for the New Zealand Māoris in rugby league — something I’m incredibly proud of and still carry with me in everything I do.

I train hard myself — I’ve got a full gym set up at home and I’m in there 5 days a week. I love the discipline of it, and I’m also a big fan of running. I’ve done multiple half marathons and marathons — there’s something powerful about just getting out there and pushing your limits.

Outside of training, life’s about balance. Weekends usually mean lake walks with my wife and son, quality family time, and hanging with my dogs (they’re honestly like my second and third children). And when I get the chance, I’m out on the golf course — nothing better than a hit and a bit of sunshine to reset the mind.

Fitness is part of my lifestyle, but so is keeping things grounded, real, and enjoyable.

My Story

Hi, I’m Michael Cullen — a dedicated family man and passionate Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Coach based in Queanbeyan. I’m here to help you kickstart your fitness journey and achieve your goals with a training approach that works for you.

With over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry, built through years of sports and gym training, I thrive on the feeling of being strong, fit, and healthy — and that confidence shines through every aspect of my life. I’m committed to helping you feel the same way in yours.

My Background

Born and raised in Queanbeyan, I carry Māori heritage from my dad’s side — a background rooted in family, culture, and competition. Growing up playing rugby league, coached by my dad, I learned early on the value of hard work, dedication, and pushing beyond limits. That competitive spirit drives me every day and shapes how I coach my clients.

Alongside rugby league, I’ve been involved in cricket, basketball, boxing, and now challenge myself with marathon running and Hyrox competitions. This broad sporting experience gives me unique insight into varied fitness needs and goals.
